Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a fluttering "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics

Design

It also comes with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent theft of keys that are keyless. This device is put inside the remote-control key fob and stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity, which prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own car. Guests sit at a series of pictures referred to as "mood stations" and pick a set of photos - from scenic vistas to sporting events - that will inspire them. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges is the model colors, style and color preferences for the custom Bentley.
The guests receive a key case made by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps which light the door's opening path with the owner's name, or emblem when they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace new technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process.
